Jeni McConnell

I am a North West based socially-engaged artist whose practice explores what it means to be local through the connections of people and place through memory, objects and archives. I am hooked in by evidence of previous existence, layers of history, old maps, documents, archives, treasures, photographs and personal stories and how they are intricately woven together. A map is often my starting point, the focus on which my exploratory journey begins.
