Jo Cooper

My work explores themes of the ordinary, unnoticed, and everyday, taking my local environment or domestic space as inspiration. In my practice I continually return to using textiles, reclaimed and found materials, and I enjoy exploring new processes to find ways to present my ideas visually, often making multiple pieces which I display together. I studied BA Hons Fine Art at University of East London graduating in 2013 and after a break from making art I returned to education in 2020 studying Textiles at Morley College and I am currently studying Advanced Textiles Art at City Lit. London
