Linda Norris

Linda has been a landscape painter for 35 years, she began working in glass 10 years ago. In 2012 she won the international Warm Glass Prize and in 2013 she won the Adrian Henri poetry in Art Prize. Linda's work has been exhibited at the British Glass Biennale in 2015 and 2017. As Studio Melyn, Linda undertakes architectural glass commissions in collaboration with Rachel Phillips. Together they have completed stained glass windows for a number of buildings including Conwy and Beaumaris Castles. She currently teaches art and craft at Coleg Plas Dwbl, a specialist college for young neurodiverse adults in Pembrokeshire. “My inspiration remains firmly rooted in landscape and my work is driven by a desire to move away from pictorial representation to make work fuelled by ideas.” Wales
