Marina Moreno
Marina Moreno is a British Italian/Hispanic interdisciplinary artist, performer, choreographer and curator originally from Venice whose work considers the performative narrative, the real and imaginary, both spatially and culturally. She examines identity through deconstruction of spaces and gestures revealing visual silence and broken narrative.
She is interested in integrating different art forms and merging them into a new artistic language often experimenting with new forms of collaboration and direct contact with the audience.
In her recent work she has examined the relationship between performance and the camera by way of multi-screen video sculptural installations
She creates public installation, collaborating both with other artists and the public.
Her use of medias ranges from Installation, Live Art, Video, sculpture, Photography, drawing, Film, Dance, Theatre.
She is the recipient of several ACE grants and her work has been shown and commissioned internationally notably: Tate Liverpool, South Bank Centre, Yan Huang Museum Beijing, Expressive Art Institute San Diego, Yokohama Design Labs.
She is associate artist at MK Gallery and Spike Island.
She is part of Marta Czok Foundation in Venice (Public Engagement).
She holds a BA HONS in Visual and Performing Arts (Dance) from Brighton University and an MA in Fine Arts and education from BCU.
