Milagros Canduelas Rios

Mila, a Peruvian nationality, graduated, as 1st Class Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Fine Art, in June of 2023 from Cardiff Metropolitan University, Wales, United Kingdom. She is a Fashion Designer (1991) studied at the Madeleine Vionett Fashion College and also studied ceramics (2003) at the Carlos Cueto Fernandini Occupational Education Centre in Lima, Peru. Mila is based in the City of Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom and has participated in different fairs throughout her training as an artist, as well as in different exhibitions organised by CardiffMet, Cardiff Made, Jacob’s Gallery, Ty Turner, Llanover Hall, The Coaltrain Coffee Shop and Gallery. Mila´s main concern is the indigenous communities and their invisibility in the face of politics and governments in Latin America. Mila´s works focus on the research of her roots, her relationship with the ancient civilisation and the communities of Peru as well as promoting their visibility through her artwork.
