Nick Turvey
It seems to me that we understand and locate ourselves in the world primarily through a mapping or projection of our bodies. For me, sculpture is a means to physically engage the viewer with the mystery of how consciousness emerges from structure and pattern, and how embodiment inflesh then shapes our identity.
My current exhibition All Alone Together takes place at the Gibberd Gallery in Harlow.
