I am exploring the healing process in Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder through visual elements of painting and sculpture. I use my walks through nature to reflect and inform my practice. Trees, birds, Iconography, religion, and the light and darkness that exist in belief are only ‘in part’ of what I explore. I’m particularly drawn to Nietzsche’s “There are no beautiful surfaces without a terrible depth”. I seek to examine what is concealed. My work often has links to past memory and trauma. To envelope oneself with colour is an answer, so it maybe accessed and resolved (if at all). Like a warm coat, one’s skin, a shroud. My work often reveals to me an eco system that has to be balanced. Fragile, like a coral reef. I'm a graduate of UAL Wimbledon with a Ba (hons) degree in Fine Art (Sculpture). Twickenham
