Roelof Bakker

I’m a Hastings-based artist and writer. Working across photography, writing, artists’ books, publishing, print, video and live performance, my projects address current and historical social and political issues. The lived experience, queer identity, ageing, memory, history, health and nature are key themes of exploration. Playfulness, tactile form, physical presence and personal engagement are integral to my approach to storytelling and making. I’m also the publisher of Negative Press London. Hastings, East Sussex
