Born in UK, 1987 First, BA (hons) Fine Art - MMU My recent work has developed out of an interest in traditional carnival in early modern Europe. The paintings reference both each other and work by the 16th century painter Bruegel. Each image is contrived, the seemingly whisical forms on the canvas can at first seem playful, but on closer inspection appear grotesque and sinister.
