Wenxi Liao

Wenxi Liao (he/him) is an independent curator and designer currently based in London. His practice plays with interpretation and remediation of knowledge and its linguistic formats, with a specific interest in independent publishing and community-oriented practices. Previously based in Shanghai, his curatorial contribution appeared in various major exhibitions in China, including 13th Shanghai Biennale and 9th Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture (Shenzhen). He is a co-founder of the Pidgin Library, a non-Eurocentric multilingual collection of independent publications, and co-founder of Outland Publishing Fair, a London-based art book fair that spotlights Chinese and diasporic art publishing practices.
