The Making a Living from the Arts project, co-funded by the Creative Europe programme, focused on supporting the career development of emerging artists; and investigating the challenges that creatives are facing with a constantly evolving working context. Growing out of the ELIA network of European art schools, there is a focus on arts education and its institutional provision, creative hubs, and the immediate dilemmas facing recently graduated arts students. Includes nine case studies showing a range of support initiatives, as well as four policy recommendations. Very useful for its international outlook and very contemporary analysis of the working context for recent graduates.
