Part of the New Labour desire for evidence-based policy, and sitting within the the PAT 10 concern with Social Inclusion, this is a study of fourteen projects addressing the effects of social exclusion in education, health, employment and crime. Using arts- and sports-related activities, it intended to establish common core principles and aspects of good practice for future reference, and to inform DCMS social policy objectives and initiatives.
