Useful analysis of documentation studies and its application within art. Argues that in complementing other approaches it can provide new perspectives and insights on familiar objects. ‘Information is materialised not only by a particular kind of document – such as a drawing, painting, sculpture or installation – but also through practices of interpretation such as curating, viewing, studying, reading and writing.’
