Undertaken prior to the extensive Taking Part surveys, this research gives information related to 1) who is attending what kinds of events and how often 2) what types of people take part in which artistic and cultural activities 3) the media used to listen to or view the arts 4) how the public feels about the arts 5) how people believe the arts should be funded.
