Within the research phases of the Paying Artists campaign, a number of case studies of publicly-funded organisations were produced with the aim of providing a breadth and range of examples to learn about best practice principles regarding transparency of artists’ pay and terms of engagement.

Using these case studies, this publication highlights how some galleries already achieve transparency within their policies. It also provides a useful aid to other exhibiting venues wishing to follow their example.
