The London gallery’s expanded 2016 architecture programme has opened to the public, featuring the 16th annual pavilion designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and four newly commissioned summer houses.
The philanthropist who co-founded the Outset Contemporary Art Fund has been named as the new chief executive of London’s Serpentine Galleries, where she will succeed current director Julia Peyton-Jones in July.
16th annual Pavilion to be designed by Copenhagen and New York-based Bjarke Ingels Group, with four architects also commissioned for the Summer Houses project.

Now in its 15th year, for 2015 the annual temporary pavilion at the Serpentine Gallery is designed by Spanish architects SelgasCano. Julian Vigo asks the pair about the thinking behind their colourful, playful structure.
