For Artist members and Arts Organiser members
NEW Personal Accident insurance (From 1 April 2025)
Personal Accident insurance is included as a new membership benefit, at no extra cost to members.
Artist and Arts Organiser members resident in the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, aged between 16 and 80, are covered for Personal Accident insurance. This insurance will provide a fixed benefit to the member in the event that they are unable to work due to an accident.
- A benefit of £20,000 is payable for death or for any permanent disablement, which includes loss of sight, hearing and/or limb(s) as well as any other type of injury that leaves the member unable to undertake any aspect of their artistic practice.
- A benefit of £200 per week is payable in the event that the member suffers a temporary disablement that means they are unable to undertake any aspect of their artistic practice. This benefit is payable for a maximum of 52 weeks but won’t make any payment for the first two weeks.
- Members are insured for accidents occurring whilst they are working in their role as an artist or arts professional (as defined by the policy) and also at other times outside of work, excluding participation in certain hazardous activities and any non-arts related occupation.
